The only real complaints have been about it being heavy and the price.  However these are also sort-of compliments and testaments to its construction and durability.  The other term that came up a lot is 'investment'.  The 1/4 inch model of the NerdChef Steel Stone is the lower thickness and price of the 3 models available from NerdChef, making it a good entry level steel baking stone, giving you the durability you're looking for with the lowest price.

The NerdChef Steel Stone - .25" Thick is a very solid product.  The advent of steel baking stones has proven to be a real contender to traditional stones.
